have seen them that bad.hopefully it didn't dig in to your front cover.do not use another GM harmonic balancer as you may end up with the same damage in as little as a few hundred miles.use an ATI balancer if you can and ARP crank bolt
Usually the damper wabbles when is going bad take a look at it while in iddle if straight maybe your belt is going south.
Not sure original damper can be repair.
Wow, that has really moved inward alot. I think though that you would have heard it if it was hitting the front cover. Either way, don't drive it anymore, get that thing off for an inspection.
Mine did the same thing. Watch out, if the AC belt jumps the compressor pulley it can break the connector to the compressor clutch off, which means you're replacing a clutch or compressor.
Balancer has to be replaced, no way around it
Summit has a low cost option, part number c2501, around $200. I've been using one with a supercharger for over a year now without any issues
