Just wondering what SMD led's are in the cluster of a c6 going to be changing mine soon and just want to make sure its not any of the ones i have already laying around. Thanks in advance to anyone that replies.
As for going to go LED's, you have to solder in a resistor head of line (as well as making sure that you have led soldered in the correct in/out for them to work), since the LEDs have a lower impedance value, and may stay light when they are supposed to not be light instead.
Note, the in wire may not drop all the way down to 0 voltage, and some 12V leds will light up with even 3v to them isntead.
Thank you for your reply i have already changed the bulbs in the hud buttons out to led's simple job and a amazing change to the dash. I was wondering what smd leds are in the actual cluster to change them. I have a assortment of smd leds laying around and just havent had time to pull it apart and see which ones it is. i have seen that you can buy a kit of them and in no offense to any sellers on here 60 dollars for 6-10 dollars in leds is not something i want to do. Just wondering which ones are in the cluster and HUD if anyone knows.
Should be since their yours from the link you posted them in/ the link that I referenced to begin with via page 2,
And we all thank you for doing the leg work to begin with to find the replacement bulbs for a local source /doing a wire up on how easy it is to replace them when they burn out as well !!!!!!
