I ran @ PBIR tonight and it was about 1600 DA (I think) 75 degrees and 56% humidity.
My c6z is stock minus the Michelin Pilot SS. I ran the tire pressure at 26.
The track prep was "meh" like usual and I let the car cool some before this pass. I think the coolant temp was 191 by the time I got to the line though.
My trap speed seems kinda low compaired to the magical online results.
I am no expert by any means but I think you can launch at higher rpm and shift at an higher rpm. Look at the ranger launch method he gives very good tips on launching. FYI flush that clutch fluid.
I agree that you can launch a little higher and do a quicker slip clutch/wot motion. I've gotten 1.70 with bridgestones all weather tire with over 600rwhp. The DA is not great for hero runs on my experience every time the 60' drop the mph go up as well. I can see you running low 11s as it is with more practice.

You need a little more heat on those tires.
After watching the video, my burn out was a good bit shorter than it felt. You are probably correct about heating them up. My second run I tried to launch about 300rpm higher and transition to WOT sooner and spun really bad.
I think I'm done at the track until I change the exhaust valves and do cam, intake headers, and tune. The exhaust valve horror stories scare me.
Ok thanks for the input. You think my shift points hurt my mph on the big end that bad? 24.5 mph pick up seems low.
What's your shift point? Stock engines run best shifted right at redline. Your shifting isn't that slow but powershift can also slow the car down since it spins on every shift. At least mine did.

I'm not offended but you said "not that slow ". I thought I was shifting good (could improve slightly on the 2-3). I was shifting between 6,900 and 7,000 1St - 3rd, but I shifted slightly early into 4th because it's so close to the trap. I shifted 3-4 about 6700ish. And yes I was no lift shifting except a slight lift going into 3rd.
Well actually I'm guessing at my shift points since I'm not data logging and there may be a small deley on tach vs actual rpm. Another question. What is the factory ls7 rev limiter set at?
Ok I'll recant my comments on shift points. I watched the video in full screen and looks like I am short shifting around 6700 ish from the camera point of view. Back to the drawing board. I still appreciate critiques though.
I half *** pay attention to the tach and more go by feel, but since my mph is kinda low it might be all driver error. I've ran 7 passes in this car and maybe my excitement/ lack of wheel time is the ultimate factor in only running 123 mph (last week).
I really wish I didn't know about the ls7 exhaust valve horror stories so I would feel comfortable going back to the track Friday after Friday and perfecting the craft.
