I know they were cheap and of poor quality in the f-body's. I'm not sure quality has improved. I would avoid them.

My friend has them on his g8. They look good, seal well and make good power. His were coated though so I'm not sure how they hold up to the elements without.

Wow I had no idea Pace setter made headers for the c6 now but apparently they do. I've had several friends use them for years on f-bodies and gm trucks. They are a cheaper mild steel alternative that will get the job done if your on a budget. I've installed a few and for the most part they fit pretty decent, do not get the black painted version tho because that paint will flake off in less than a week and it will be bare steel. If they offer a ceramic coated version get that if not have them ceramic coated if not they will rust. Granted there is not as much r&d in these headers compared to ARH, Kooks, LG etc I have seen them make decent power on other platforms.

I too had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price on c6 headers after vette tax. I personally went with Texas Speed headers about 2 years ago, got an awesome deal on an almost new set and they fit like a glove. This was before Texas Speed offered the full 3" midpipe for the c6z so I just had my muffler shop modify my stock midpipe and weld in a x to fit the tsp headers. Hinson also has headers now that don't have such a crazy vette tax mark up, I've heard decent things about them. The obx ebay headers are still a crap shoot tho, people always seem to have issues with the flanges etc.

I personally like pacesetters. I ran them on my ls1 trans am and an ls1 camaro and my chevy silverado. Every install went perfect with no denting header pipes or anything like that. Could not ask for better fit. When I buy headers for the vette I'm sure it will be pacesetters once again. I have installed a few of the more expensive brands on other cars as well and most always had some minor fitment issue. that all said never had pacesetters for a vette but if they use the same fitment quality as they do on the other cars and trucks then those will be my first choice. Just because they may be cheaper does not mean they are bad. On my C5 I had some cheapo ebay headers on it and yes I had a few fitment issues but nothing I couldn't work around. Had those on for years and never had any cracking or anything. Unlike what I read about a high dollar name brand header that had alot of cracking problems.
