Ok everyone. I have an 08 Z06. I tempted fate, and lost. I switched to e85 on the factory fuel pump, and now it's going out. My question is this, I have no intentions of going F/I. But plan on going with a solid roller and trying to push 700 n/a. Is there just a pump I can get for in the tank and be ok? Or do I have to bite the bullet and spend the money on a complete fuel system. I'm on a budget for the time being. So I'm trying to find the least expensive, most realistic replacement for my goals.
Ok, so I was trying to avoid the whole budget speech from everyone, as i realize anything for a corvette and budget don't mix. This is why I said realistic for my needs. You were correct, I meant a pump to supply 700-750 rwhp, the car currently makes 580 rwhp. And thank you to whoever mentioned the aeromotive. The stealth kit? Or just a high flowing E85 capable pump to go in the factory canister?
I'm pushing 531hp/510tq on e85 with the Z06 pump in my 416 LS3 with FAST 85# injectors. But I am running right at the limit of both the injectors and the pump. A boost-a-pump would probably get me a little more head room, right now the injectors are running close to 95% at WOT at 6500 rpm.
