Hear something like a small motor running, even after the car has been setting for a while (like over night). First sounded like the steering column, or cd changer. So intermitten is hard to tell.
After a week or so with out running the car, the battery is low to the
point of using a trickle charger before starting. Any Ideas out there??
The HVAC blower runs to purge moisture from the system for a few minutes after shutting the engine down. My dealer taught me about this one. Sometimes I think the darned car is possessed, but that's the way the smarty pants in Detroit design them.

Check your PMs ...
The feature you mention is called "Afterblow" (sounds exciting, eh?) and must be enabled by changing the setting with a scan tool. My understanding is that the cars come from the factory with afterblow deactivated, but many dealers in the humid south turn it on.
OP-
Our 2009, without afterblow, makes the "small motor noise" immediately when we open the door to get in, I think it's the Nav system waking up but never tried to trace it out. It does shut down quickly when we turn off the car.
How old is your battery, and has it been load tested recently? Corvettes tend to be hard on batteries, some more than others. The noise and the dead battery might not be related.
