backup camera help
Hello,
recently, I installed a backup camera to 4100NEX head unit.
I powered the camera using the light green wire in the back of the car (i think it's the reverse light)
camera comes on when in reverse no problem.
but the problem is when I get out of reverse into a gear, the camera mode on the headunit stays on (no screen since the power to the camera is gone). camera mode will stay on until i turn it off manually.
any idea how i can fix this?

It sounds like the violet/white wire on the Pioneer's harness didn't get connected to the reverse light wire. You not only need to power the camera, you need to send the reverse lamp voltage to the radio as well so it knows when you put the car in reverse and then have taken the car out of reverse. Then it will automatically go to the proper screen. I have the same unit, and this is how mine works. Finding the reverse wire did take a bit of time, I tapped into mine in the big harness on the passenger side floor sill, just ahead of the seat. Sorry, but I don't recall the color of the wire.
