Default LS7 - LS2 LG Headers Compatibility

I picked up a stock 05 C6 a few weeks ago and found a set of LG Headers/X Pipe for sale locally for a decent price that someone was going to install on their 06 C6Z but decided to go another direction.

I've went through many similar threads seeing if these are compatible for my LS2 and many people say it's no issue but yet some vendors state that the LS7/LS3 head exhaust ports are D shaped while LS2 are circular?

Additionally I asked the size and he thinks the headers are 1 3/4 but the mid pipe is 3". I've traditionally seen them in pairs 1 3/4 and 2.5" or 1 7/8 and 3"? My last concern is with the catback as I'd have to step down to 2.5" as many LS2 catbacks are 2.5" no?

Any direction is appreciated!

Head port shapes are different but it doesn't matter. Header flanges are going to work either way. Tons of guys run LS7 OEM systems on LS2's all the time (including me)

LS2 factory system is 2.5", LS7 is 3". You'd either have to step it down (have an exhaust shop fab something up) or find a Z06 axle back system to install as well. The OEM setup is nice as it has flaps on the mufflers that can make the system loud or quiet.

There aren't nearly as many posts on mid pipe size comparisons as the header diameters. Is a 3" mid pipe + Catback too big for a LS2 that will mostly only see bolt ons and tune?

That.. I do not know. I doubt it will matter but some of the bolt on guys will know more. I went straight to supercharger and skipped the bolt on stuff

Just contact LG and ask for the 3in to 2.5 step down pipe

( it's the pipe between the mufflers and the x pipe )
