Hi all, I have a 2006 base model with a LS2 , I'm in the process of changing the starter and while its out I was thinking to change the crank sensor , so my question is when I install the new crank sensor do I have to do a relearn procedure on it or is it plug and play , thanks for any help.
Plug and play (initial calibration set the sensor to the crank to begin with), but your wasting money changing it out, unless the connector clip piece is broken and the reason that your changing it to begin with.
Also, chances are your starter motor is fine, and you can go to a starter shop to just have the starter solenoid replaced on the starter motor you have for around $40.
Hence the OEM starter is a Valeo unit, and although GM does not sell the solenoids alone, most starter shops carry them instead.
