OEM GM door pads(release switch) external; REPLACE them, $10.........................
If you have the intermittent issue from the door release pad, for $10-15 I would replace them.
One of the first things I changed on my 2007 a few years ago.
GM part # 22751230 (left or right same), I believe 05-13 use the same part.
It's about a 5 minute job.
Hope this helps, seen a few threads lately regarding cleaning the part. I found mine to be 'compressed' and would rather replace due to the low cost. (In 2013 the parts were $6/each, how could you not?
