Love my 05 A4 LS2. Added the air raid intake, ported TB, Corsa Extremes, throttle booster and full engine and trans tune.

That's a pretty large thing to leave out.

Certainly a larger thing than LS2 vs LS3

I know. I started this thread right after test driving a sloppy clutched ls3. So I wasn't completely sold on the standard tranny. Howver after driving another manual ls3. My next vette is definitely going to be manual.

The big difference between the LS3 and the 2 are the heads and the rectangle intake ports compared to the cathedral ports on the LS2. Why not just upgrade to the LS3 heads, cam and intake and keep your current car? Seems like a more logical solution.

I guess I should have read the whole thread before I commented. This is a larger dilemma and not just a top end swap. I wouldn't have bought an automatic in the first place, but that's me.

I'm patient, I'll wait, for instance, when I bought my new tool box back in 2000. I ordered a cranberry snap on krl1003. Was the biggest tool box they made before Mr Big came out a couple years later. I ordered in August of 2000. My dealer came back and said they weren't making the cranberry until January of 2001 so he just ordered me a plain red one. I told him cancel that order. This is the last tool box I'm buying so I'll wait until January 2001. He was baffled that I'd wait that long for my new box but I did and as I stated. The last box I will buy. Still have it.
Moral is hold out for the one you really want. Same with my Grand sport. Waited a long time for the right car. Like, years of waiting.

I ran a ls2 auto vs my stock ls3 6speed. His car had FBO and nittos mine was 100% stock and beat it by 3 cars even from a dig. So yea it's a big diffrance.
