I'm tring to hook up my autometer pro shift light (5340) to my 05 vette
i know 12v switched to red and black and green to pin #48 (whitewire)
at the pcm but when i do i get nothing i have a 3k test chip in it
from what i understand once your pcm has been flashed you loose that signal for the tach feed .....im tring to find a alternate way of hooking up my shift light ??? i also have a lengenfelter lcn 2000 launch control would there be a way to hook it up through the launch box
Not sure about the Autometer light, but the MSD 8963 light I just ordered can be triggered by an inductive signal from one of the coils or even an injector on late model GMs.
Does your light have that option? The MSD comes with a special GMR connector and has to be set for one cylinder operation to work like that.
Yeah, probably just depends on the device being used..
I am messing around with one of these shift lights and did need a resistor for it. Still trying to find the best value to use but a 1K ohm resistor seems to be working. Going to try to install it in the HUD
Looking into the resistors I spoke with a rep at autometer he told me that once the pcm has been flashed it weekends the signal and a booster is needed to strengthen the signal
