2007 A6 fluid and filter change

2007 A6 fluid and filter change complete!! Wow
So at 80,000 miles I decided to go ahead and service the A6 XSMN in my 07 Z51. The car was tuned by Diablew and i felt with the additional firm shifting from the tune, the A6 would benefit from a service. I used a service kit from NAPA which had the filter, new gasket, and new o-ring fitting for the filter.
The FSM was invaluable for this task and proved as a great guide to complete the A6 service, I recommend getting one!
After removal of the A6 trans pan, i noticed that the fluid was a dark red and almost light brown color and the magnet on the bottom had some very small debris.
Upon completion of the service, I immediately noticed quieter and much smoother shifting in both standard D and in S mode with the paddles. Overall, I am impressed with the performance of this service and would suggest that this should be done before GMs "100,000" mile maintenance schedule.
The service is not that hard at all and is a great preventive maintenance task! If you have any questions about this procedure let me know, I'll help you out!
