Help- broke wire on column lock box
I was trying to connect a lock-bypass to my 2005 and accidentally pulled to hard on the connection for the column lock (older version that looks like computer ribbon) pulled to hard and broke the connector. Now the car wont start even with the by-pass mechanism attached.

Pretty much all connectors come apart, I don't know if that's an Delphi connector, but there will be a way to unsnap it, take it apart, uncrimp the females and put those wires back into the connector and snap it back together.
You might not be comfortable with that, if you had room for a solder connection on the metal connectors that would make me feel better but I strongly doubt there is room for that. Personally I'd re-crimp them and use it.
You can also usually buy pretty much any connector these days. Hopefully someone smarter than me will post up what type of connector it is then you can crimp it back on your ribbon.
Or, you could buy two connectors and re-create the ribbon cable if you pulled it completely out and you can find those connectors.
Or, maybe that ribbon cable is available from GM? Maybe you can find it on gmpartsdirect.com if you look at the exploded diagrams.
Lots of way to skin this cat. Keep us posted how you make out.
