Default Ls2 throttle body question

I got a ls2 throttle body off a guy at work. He gave it to me for free because he is thinking it is bad. His car was throwing a TPS code so he bought a new one and he said the car still isn't running right, but he was not sure if the TB was good or not. (This is going on a c5 btw) so before I go all into my build then all of a sudden find out this TB is bad, any way I can bench test it? I am pretty sure that to try it on another car it would have to be "reset" by a dealer? Any way to find out before I get too far into my build? Thanks for the help

There should be, perhaps someone will come along that has a shop manual so that you could follow the instructions on the procedure. Usually you would check the resistance across the pins with a ohm meter.
