M6 Shifter ball replacement
SO, I now know how to remove the stock shifter, but since its doesn't have a threaded shaft, I cant put my aftermarket Hurst Handle on it. Is there a replacement shaft I can buy or is the stock shaft able to be threaded? What is the normal fix.. I don't want one of the little cue ball shifters.

You may need to install a MGW or similar shifter that has a threaded shaft. They have a model that fits the threads of a C-5 which are threaded. I recently made the change and found that the Hurst shift **** is not made in the thread size that is needed, so I had to tap the threads in the **** to match the shifters threads. It was not hard, just a p.i.t.a.
