Hey guys, I acquired a GTO spare front set for my track days but they do not clear my Z51 brakes. Can anyone tell me what the right size wheel spacer is and where they bought theirs? I plan on using hubcentric as well. Thanks!
Contact link below for best results this guy knows by heart the gto and corvette hubs measurements and does great job you can ask for 5 lightening holes s well.
You can figure out the spacer width using washers and nuts.
Dear Serious,
The whole reason for using the GTO wheels is to reduce weight. So if you are really serious, don't add weight (adapters), but change to base (J9L) rotors to drop off even more weight. It's a 67# difference vs just 47#. Your stopping distance will not change.
If im changing the rotors to base then i assume i need to change the calipers as well?
Nope. Just the mounting brackets, since the calipers are the same size. The piston in the rear caliper is slightly smaller, but it won't affect stopping. Keep your brackets and rotors and swap back when you sell the car.
