C6 fuel pump/fuel pressure issue

My mechanic was just now getting around to installing the fuel system return style with the 450 and ecs stage 1 kit with upgraded wiring harness and he told me that the kit won't work with the fuel pump it will starve the 450 so I called aeromotive about it and he agreed that it wouldn't work. Now I'm lost. How exactly did you get them to work together? Do you have any problems with the fuel getting hot on the return set up?
