There is absolutely no reason to change ECM's just for the size of injectors you want to run.
There are multiple ways around the size limit, all of which work perfectly fine.
The easiest way is to just double the stoich AFR table and cut the actual injector flow rate in half. Done.
That's it.
If you need to go even larger than that (which is ~127lb/hr on early E38's), then you can scale all of the airflow tables/references and do it that way.
Or, you can even do both if you want..
There really isn't a reason to swap out ECM's for this
