The first time I installed the dewitts radiator it went "ok" with a quick shot to about 250 and then the coolant went into the motor and all was good to top off.
Now....the coolant wont go in and the engine is nearly overheating before I shut it down.
Following the GM factory manual closely for refil proceedure.
Pull the small hose that runs to the reservoir tank. Apply a little vacuum, coolant level in the tank should start dropping fast. That has always gotten the air out of the system on everyone I've tried it on when needed.
Vacuuming the whole system is def. a better way to do it but you'll need what ^ posted to do it.
hey! It worked I had to improvise with a ryobi cordless inflate/deflate tool but got it to draw on the small tube and the fluid went down just as you said.
. Vacuum aitlift tool is the way to go from now on.
If you do get this, a little tip. Make sure the 'feed' hose that goes into your coolant source (jug, bucket, etc) is full first before trying to fill the vehicle system. This will eliminate air from entering the engine.
