I purchased an '05 C6 from Illinois that has a Torquer V2 cam and a dyno tune on Illinois gas which I believe is 93 octane.
After driving it back to Oregon where we have 92 and what many describe as "crappy" gas I've noticed what sounds like knocking under harder acceleration.
Could the tune and the difference in gas create a knock condition by itself?
Have the car re-tuned for then new elevation it going to be run at!!!!!
Although the computer will compensate for different elevations, it not a perfect method. Hence stock tune, the method works, but when the car is tuned to the edge, does not work idealy instead.
As far as elevation the difference between Chicago and where I'm at in Oregon is only about 100 feet. Also, the car was bought with a dyno sheet that proves it made power at some point.
Let me also add that the car does not miss or hesitate and pulls powerfully when I have gotten on it.
