Not interested in how the vacuum dashpots/valving works but more the electrical. I assume the dashpots are electrically controlled with some switch or relay since it's fused and activates at 3000 RPM.... BUT
Does the NPP signal come from the ECM? If so, is it a simple open collector output or something that can drive 100ma?
And the 64,000 question: Is the activation limit of 3000 RPM programmable thru HP Tuners?
Looked around the internet and on the forums for this stuff but nothing found.
Looking to use this signal as an enable for other stuff
I don't know the answers to most of your questions, but I do know that the NPP activation threshold is not in your tune file for HPTuners. I think it's a BCM control, not ECM.
That did help and Thanks, looks like it uses it's own relay, vacuum system, etc... and not even tied into the ECM as you said. Not going to bother digging into it
