Need f/b on Base C6 with Z06 Springs
I have a stock 2009 Z51 (FE3) Convertible that I autocross. I have the opportunity to buy a set of 2007 C6 Z06 front and rear springs from a fellow autocrosser at a very good price. If anyone has made that switch would you please let me know about the change in ride height, performance handling, and road comfort.

ride height = set it as you like, both are adjustable.
performance = I found that the Z06 spring tamed the rear end from the outrageous rebound that is in the Z51 setup. previously was nervous about single wheel dips, now no problem. very little difference in the front feel. switched shocks and found the control noticeably better. Not at all too harsh. this is all track-day and canyon runs, sorry no hard data.
ride comfort = My wife (non-gearhead) felt the ride was improved with the stiffer springs & shocks. for me, it seems a bit soft at times in the front, dives low enough to usually scrape the air dam under hard braking.

I know you didn't ask but I'll mention that the Z06 front spring is rated only 5 lbs more than the Z51, 531 vs 526. The rear spring is the difference, 782 vs 645. Just sayin'.

Smooth slower speed auto cross track, and you can pan the car (no suspension) and it's going to be fine for the most part.
The glitch, you high speed the car on less than a smooth track with the suspension over sprung, and the car will be all over the track, even in a straight line.
Hence at high speed, you need all the suspension travel you can get working fluidly, and with the car over sprung, when you get into rough section, isntead of the suspension tracking correctly, it does not, and the tires get compressed/bounce back up to cause the tires to loose grip with the road surface isntead.
