You are going to make your car slower if you have never Dyno and flow tested that particular intake and the results of porting mods.

I have spent darn near the entire past weekend researching this issue and on other forums that have LS3 engine cars they have found adding radius bars improves air flow. There are a coupe of people who provide this service, neither of which frequent CF.

I will most likely be sending mine off to Gwatney Performance.

There is another proven performer of LS3 intake porting mentioned on this very website, but I disagreed with some of the claims made in an exploratory email I had with said vendor so have looked elsewhere as a result.

Good luck!

After a lot of research I have decided to ship my OEM LS3 manifold off to Gwatney. Had a great conversation with them and agreed with what they said and the realistic expectations they gave me. And their price is the best that I've seen as well and I feel the provide more.

Slam dunk.

Dont they also take off inner post and port the intake and just add the rods?

No, they said they tried all of that multiple times and never were able to get any appreciable repeatable gains. The only thing they do now is the rod/ diverter thing at the front.
Now BER doesn't add the rod but gets similar hp, so maybe adding the two would work well, but then the cost...

I went ahead and pulled my intake manifold off yesterday and it's being shipped to Gwatney today. Your thread inspired me to act.

Before last night I had never removed one nor looked at one up close, it's hard to imagine how porting that thing could make any real difference.

I'll get it dynoed again soon but it has 2-3 small changes so it'll be hard to know what caused what.
