08 navigation question.

08 navigation question.

Recently got an 08 with nav. Graphics appear cheesy. Is it possible to upgrade screen to newer model without spending a lot of $$.
Any comments appreciated in advance.

You'll have to replace the whole thing with aftermarket. Graphics are the same on all C6 nav.

Yep, no way to do it without going to an aftermarket system.

The only upgrades you get with going newer are USB/AUX/Ipod functionality and even that requires changing out to a new lower console to make it work.

An updated DVD (2016) will get you updated roadway and point of interest information, but the graphics will remain the same. These units will not provide the graphics quality of say, a Garmin or Tom-Tom, but what's nice is that they do integrate with the HUD. I do not believe an aftermarket unit will.
