Even with my high flow cats I still get some gas smell .... could not imagine what it would smell like without . Not worth the 3 to 5 horse gain .....

Pretty sure it's about .9-1.5 rwhp going from hi flow cats to none. Inconsequential.
My stock cats fell apart at less than 600 hp and low boost. ARH cats lasted me less than a month at 780 rwhp and 14 lbs.
Both times could have caused engine damage if I hadn't caught it as they blocked the exhaust a lot, and caused increased boost and pinging.
I wouldn't take the risk again on a boosted car after my experiences.

It's not much different without than with, I had mine in but they were getting too hot and I could feel the heat from them not to mention they were burning the trans tunnel insulation. I had to take mine off, is much rather have them but between burning them up or melting them and burning my insulation, they had to go
Cats will not last on FI, especially with exotic fuels. The key to running catless is a good tune. I'm catless with 100% meth and my factory exhaust on my truck smells worse than the vette.
You might want to look into some of the more expensive high flow cats. They come in larger cases and difference mesh size. They are about 2+ times more expensive but with a blower it is just part of the game. You made need to do some custom work but they make a 4.5 inch diameter case size for bigger hp cars. Not sure if Randon Technology is still doing stuff but there are other companies out there like it. I think there is one in Maryland or Delaware - Vibrant Performance I think.
Cats are a total waste of time and money on boosted cars unless you absolutely need them to pass tests or something.
If you the smell bothers you, you need a better tuner, not cats.
If the environmental issues really bother you, you wouldn't be driving a blown vette.
Running no cats on my SC LS2. Hate it. Can't drive it to work because I'll smell like exhaust. Putting the high flows back on next week.
Im having the same experience. I didnt install my catless xpipe and thinking whoever did must have done something wrong. With windows ooen the smell is too strong. With windows closed still some exhaust unless I hit recirc.
