Ok. So the 2008 corvette I bought last year with 7000 miles on it did not come with "bushing" plates so that it can be put on a lift? Am I saying those right?
I ordered Michelin pilot sports for the rear wheels went to costco to have them installed they call me say no can do. They dont have the rubber pieces that screw in.
What exactly are they called and where can I buy them? I dont want to be stuck going to the chevy dealer every time I need new tires.
Unless these rubber pieces are very expensive.
Please advise.

my leave-in pucks have stayed on the car for 2 years now. I bought two sets thinking eventually one would fall off. Never happened. Still have 4 in the back of my car waiting lol.
As per the video, buy yourself 4 hockey pucks, approx $1.00 a piece, the eye bolts and make yourself a set and keep them in the rear hatch area compartment for use at any garage or tire shop.
You need a set of jacking pucks. Pucks are inserted under the rocker panels. There are four spots for them under the car. The holes are small slots that the puck inserts into. Then you slightly twist the puck to "lock" it in place temporarily. To locate them, get down and look under the car near the front and rear part of the door. Look for a small few inch long slot. The puck inserts there. Their purpose is to create a lifting point on the car. If you lift without the pucks, the lift itself may damage the rocker panel. So the pucks simply lower the lifting point.
They take literally 2 seconds to install, and are usually removed after use. Some vendors sell "leave in" pucks that don't have to be removed. I have always purchased the removable type.
Here are an example of ones that I use from a forum vendor. $25 shipped

You have the information from other members.
If this were me, I would drive over to the Costco store and thank whoever brought this to your attention and did not proceed with the install.
I had a friend that went to a local tire store and yes they installed the tires. A month later he was washing his car and noticed a crack in the rocker area that had spread up to be visual. He had to spend $350 to have it repaired!. Bring a box of doughnuts to the Costco team!

The ones I made 16 years ago for my C5 Z06 still fit my C6 cars and likely will fit the C7 as well.
Just buy they leave in pucks and call it a day. You won't loose ground clearance and it is only a one time buy. Some have experienced them rattling so its best to install them with a bit of RTV.
