I recently purchased 1 7/8" super pro longtubes from LG Motorsports. They installed them and tuned the car. Two days later a plug wire on the driver side had burnt and caused a misfire. I was able to swap wires around and drive to LG. They gave me a set of their bad *** plug wires and heat socks free of charge. All was well for 4-5 weeks of weekend warrior duties. Today the car began the old misfire dance again while I was driving across a toll bridge with no shoulder. I can not have this happen again. I would like to know what plug wires can be installed with these Lg headers to allow the proper clearance to the primary. I don't understand why the headers, on the driver side were designed this way. There is room for the primary to allow much better plug access, but it appears to have been designed to smoke right through plug wires with straight boots.
Edit: I started this thread before contacting Cesar and Anthony at lg Motorsports to discuss my concerns. This was 100% my mistake. Their customer service has always been top notch as I have been a customer with Lg since the early 90's. LG took the car, swapped the driver side header, installed new MSD plug wires and heat socks all free of charge. Offered me two free oil changes on a dry sump car. I am now saving for LG to install their G6X3 camshaft in my GS.

Here is the burnt wire installed with out the sleeve. You can see it comes straight off the spark plug and literally rest on the primary. I removed the plug and found no antiseize whatsoever...

And plugs don't need antisieze. In fact NGk and most manufactures warn not to use it.
Use a proper fitting plug wire and all is fixed.
If that is true it is the first time I have ever heard such a tale. I have used a little dab of antiseize on spark plugs for the past 16 years of working on small block Chevys. Metal, male threads into female aluminum threads requires lube to prevent galling.
learn something everyday. Nice!!!
I have no problem with LG's customer service. Cesar was great to work with. I just feel it should be front page news that you should get some wires with an offset in them otherwise the stock wires will cook on the front, drivers side primary. I'll order some from Summit Racing and all will be well. Thanks for everyone's help.
They put a coating to prevent gauling. They do not need antisieze, and it can cause issues since they have to ground through the plug. So NGK and others say no antisieze.

I don't have a clue. Some people just talk out their ***. 135* boots and 180* factory protective, metal heat shields makes no sense at all.
You're the one asking because you have burnt wires, and I'm talking out my *** ?
You just keep burning your wires and crying like a little girl. I'll run Firecore's with the stock shields and have no issues at 1000 rwhp like I've been doing.
One day I'll figure out why I even bother trying to help.
