Default Stock TB, How much HP will it support

I'm installing a 625 rwhp engine in my Z06. I'll be running a Fast 102 intake. Should I replace my TB with a 102. Is there an advantage to the NW 102 or is having mine machined adequate.
Thanks

Wow!

I suppose it may be less critical when you're cramming in air with a charger. When you're relying on the pistons to pull in the air it may have a different affect.

Several running over 1,000hp with stock TB, now that said would a;

larger TB move more air - yes
would it kick out more hp - yes
does it look better - yes.

So the real question is the cost no big deal to you?

No ? then get it
Yes? It's a seemingly needless purchase you don't need, don't get it

I bought a NW102 for looks made very little power gain. Worst HP investment ever, but it does look great!

Thanks for the replies. I think I will stay with the factory setup and possibly run a vittese throttle controller.

I guess the other question is on a NA motor how much can it support before it becomes and issue or worth a change over. The blower motors obviously have some help on the suction end. The NW is a little difficult to tune but can be done of course. On say a 600 rwhp NA motor is it worth like 2 hp so maybe not worth all the effort for the purchase and retune etc. But it does look good.

That is one, candid statement, Tim! (not many would admit a mistake so easily)

Just port it, and be close to a larger TB yet remains easier to tune

There is no difference in tuning. Anyone saying a large TB is hard to tune either hasn't done one in 10+ years or has no idea how to tune.
