Default ZR1 Dual Mode Exhaust Keeps Blowing Fuses

Help. I keep blowing the 10a fuse for the dual mode exhaust on my '13 ZR1. This results in the valves in the muffler staying open all the time - I cant get them to close. Does anyone have any theory what might be the cause of this and how to troubleshoot? Thanks!

There is a better than good chance that the wire going to the solenoid is grounding out on the chasis. Check the wiring at or near the solenoid on the passenger rear section of the car.

If you pull the right inner taillight out and look inside the hole, right below it is a rubber flap that covers the solenoid. Just pull that off to see the solenoid. I actually took the flap off mine because the solenoid itself melted internally. If I find a picture I'll post it up.

UPDATE: I found some really good threads using the search function and decided to try replacing the solenoid behind the rear passenger tail lights that controls the exhaust / muffler valves. Worked like a charm. No more blown fuses, not a particularly difficult repair and better yet avoided the dealer and the upcharge. $51.00 for the part.

Here is the part if your blowing fuses:
