Default Help with wiring harness - Z06

Hi all,

2007 Z06

During the process of running cooling ducts from my front grille, I had to drop the skid plate on the passenger side and move the horn to make room for the duct.

There is a harness in that area with various wires and connectors coming out of it. When I put everything back together, I found the below wire/connector hanging, apparently disconnected from somewhere. I can't for the life of me find where it goes. There is a push in tab on the side of it. It isn't for the horn, and it isn't for the ambient temp sensor at the bottom of the radiator. It also isn't for the fog lights or any other lights. They are all plugged in. I just spent an hour on my back trying to find where this thing goes, to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas? The wire itself looks like the same kind of wire going into the horn, but the connector is different.

Thanks in advance.

Just a guess but I believe there is an unused plug for an under hood light which many cars don't have.

That would be my guess also.

Underhood light connector.

Normally is connected to the passanger side radiator shroud, but when the vet does not come with the light, GM techs just left it loose down below. Hence when they are installing the hood with light, will grab the connector, pull the top cap off it, clip it into the shroud, then connect the light connector off the hood to it.

If the hood does not have a hood light, then they leave it loose down below most of the time instead.

And if the hood light was in play, then the top cap gets removed, and the hood light will plug into it instead.
