i am close to buying a ported and milled head. I have a stock cam (with 1.85 rockers) in my LS3. I know aftermarket cams bleed off pressure and allow higher cr but does anyone know if I'll be ok with a 11.4 or 11.3 cr on stock cam with a good quench? I've read that 8.7 DCR is max but I don't have reliable information on stock cam abdc at 0.004" to calculate. Please give input if you know it won't work or have seen X compression with stock cam.
According to calcs my DCR is higher than 8.7, but I didn't CC my heads before putting them on so I can't be positive. It was fine on 93, and now that the racetracs around us have e85 it's even better.
