I'm sure this has been posted before, tried searching but couldn't find anything.
I have a 2008 C6 base and I'm looking for the widest possible size I can fit on a the smallest possible wheel.
What are my options? Please post links or product info.
No I don't track the car, yes I drive it on the street, no I don't care about whats legal or illegal. Yes I know if I hit a puddle or get caught in a rain storm it's going to be a problem. It's not a daily driver and I enjoy being an idiot so humor me please.
Only looking for what can and will fit.

cars becoming slow to me and need to enhance the look and make it look faster than it actually is until It gets a procharger.
Several are available, but the choice depends on what you're willing to do $ wise and whether you want maximum traction after the blower install or just the toughguy look.

Tough guy look blower is going to be awhile my wife decided she wants to go back to school and get her masters sooooo someone's got to pay for that first
I really just need to know what size wheels will fit because I went to discount tire and they said no 15-16'' wheels will fit. I also contacted a local performance shop and they said "we don't deal with wheels and offsets." If I could just get a link for a wheel that will fit I can figure out the rest.
With no changes to anything else, a 17" wheel is the smallest diameter that'll simply bolt on. Just because the bolt pattern is correct and it'll clear the suspension, doesn't mean any width or offset will work.
I suggest you educate yourself about wheel offsets, since you want to go wide only for appearance reasons. If you don't get that part right, you'll have cracked/broken rear quarters.
BTW, badass for drag tires is large diameter with small wheels. A 275/60 R15 will give you more traction than you'd ever need and has nearly the same tread width as your OEM GY RF's.
I'm actually getting ready to travel down this road myself. That is, if I don't change my mind at the last second and do wide booty. My plan is to run 17x9.5 front wheels (repros) with +56 offset with some 275/50/17 M&H or 305/45/17 ET Street R's. I want/need a 28'er because boost. If I do end up going wide booty I'd probably go with the 345/35/18 MT street ss or 325/45/17 M&H racemaster.
I'm pissed off at Paypal for screwing me when I had the opportunity to purchase a complete set of RTS welds, I was right there and ready to put the wheels in my truck and paypal decided not to work. I haven't seen another deal on Base C6 RTS welds since.

Don't bother with repros if you go with 17 x 9.5 wheels, since the OEM Vette wheels in that size are usually cheaper and always lighter.
