2005 diff internals vs 2008 diff
I have a 2005 m6 and one empty 2008 diff housing. does the parts from 2005 housing fit in the 2008 house?
and is the kent moore J-42168 kit the right tool to set i right?
I also have the 2007 trans that i can use to the diff.

Not sure. I bought the tools for a closed Chevy dealer in 2008, but when I priced getting the shims, i traded the tools to a shop to do the assembly.
The shims are a big deal. If I had it to do over again, I would call a forum vendor that specializes in diffs and just write a check.
