Default Headlight issue..

hey guys, so I'm having an issue with my HIDs... I noticed the driver side wasn't nearly as bright as the passenger and was almost a yellowish color. so I ordered a new bulb and ballast, replaced them, same issue occurred... so we switched the passenger side with the driver side, still same issue BUT the passenger side still worked perfectly even with all the original parts from the driver side we assumed were "defective"... in the end we have switched and tried everything except check more internal wiring, so ballast, bulb, connecting wire have all been replaced... driver side reguardless is still very dim.... Any ideas would be great, I didn't see a thread with THIS issue so any help would be great! thanks.

As with most of the wiring, the ground wires are usually the culprit in malfunctions, either from the main circuit fuse, or at the bulb connector, which have been known to melt causing bad connections.
If all the wires at the headlight have been checked, then you may want to check the main ground connection to that light at the car frame.
I checked the Headlight service manual section, but it doesn't refer to any malfunction as per your description.
There are circuits with the same common ground, so you may have to check other wiring circuits to see if there is a cut or bare wire somewhere causing a drain on your headlight.
All I can do is offer you a color coded schematic that shows the grounds, etc.

sounds like ballasts and bulbs are good..

check and compare input voltages to the ballasts

check and compare resistances between the ground wires(from ground wire to chassis) that are feeding the ballasts..this will help you see if you do have a ground problem
