Default Lingenfelter Intercooled Intake Manifold

I've been searching and can't find any first hand experience with this intake manifold . Has anyone ever tested it?

Seen one on a camaro. Works ok. For the price I would run something else.

My bad,

Default LPE intercooled intake manifold

What year and engine Corvette do you have?

In some applications the intake manifold fits under a stock hood and some require an aftermarket hood on the Corvette. Most other applications (CTS-V, Camaro, CK trucks) fit with the stock hood.

No "hacking" or "cutting" of the vehicle is required.

We have test data from some of our own installs and engine dyno/chassis dyno testing and installations. Not sure if any of our customers with those manifolds are on this forum to post results for themselves.

Default LPE intercooler manifold

This product was designed to fit the C6 Corvette (as well as other passenger car applications). On the C6 it requires a different hood (to clear the throttle body location):

Ignore the bracket above the throttle body - the one we used for this mock-up was from a another vehicle that had something else mounted in that location (that two bolt bracket doesn't normally exist on the intake).

Here is a video of a C6 ZR1 with that intake:

The version for the C7 Corvette fits under the stock hood (base car and Z06):

Default C6 Hood

This is what one hood that clears the intercooler intake on a C6 looks like:

(sorry for the poor image quality - this is what I happened to find on our image server).

Were there different versions of the intake then? The one I saw looked like no way it would clear the cowl. It didn't have that sloped rear.

Default Intake versions

For the Gen III/IV engines including the C6 fitments, no we only have two versions. One for the cathedral port heads and one for the rectangular port (LS3, LSA, LS9, L92...) heads.

For the Gen V engines we have made two versions - one with an intercooler brick the same size as used in the versions for the Gen III/IV engines. That product does not fit in a C7. We then made a version for the C7 with a smaller intercooler brick in order to fit it under the C7 hood. We have made over 1100 hp with the C7 manifold with very good post intercooler IAT temperatures and low pressure drops.

My corvette is an 08 . The intake looked like it might not fit under a stock hood but it doesn't look as tall as the Holley intake .

Default Fitment on C6

Yes, on the C6 the intake requires a new hood and the coolant line fittings out of the back of the manifold have to be 90 degree fittings.

Yes, it is not as tall as the Holley intake.

Will you provide some of this test data along with a list of any other modifications done to the test vehiclel?
