Default Exhaust Options

Hello Everyone, I just got my 1 7/8 headers and 3 inch x pipe with no cats for my c6 corvette from Texas Speed and was wondering what exhaust options do people use? I hear some use the z06 c6 mufflers

Did your C6 originally come with the NPP mufflers? If not, you'll need to order a kit called "NPP in a Box" (~$235) to convert your car in order to control the actuators on the exhaust. That's going to be the quietest system (no drone) for running LT's w/ OR X-pipe. If the NPP function (and noise) isn't a big concern...the aftermarket options are abundant. For that, yes...start reading.

11 G.S. had NPP: ..... Kooks ,3"...No cat X Pipe narrowed down to 2 1/2" ....Kept NPP.
I like and am glad that I kept NPP.

I understand while z06 pipes are 3" they go 2 1/2" inch (at) muffler...Duel tone (mode) LOL

They are not as loud as NPP, but you can open them up. And drill extra holes in pipe inside to get sound. Tried to find in (search) with no luck.

And yes you would need An NPP in a box.

right okay, because I've seen allot of people do the z06 mufflers for a quick setup and a cheaper alternative and I myself is looking to do the same just so I can put something on the car at least for now

FYI: 2011+ Z06 mufflers are louder than pre 2011 Z06's because the by pass pipe in the muffler is solid like the NPP's. Pre 2011, the muffler by pass pipe is perforated. There is a muffler mod, but that involves cutting up the muffler, inserting a solid pipe and welding it back up. The 2011+ Z06 mufflers are the same as the ZR1 mufflers, but different part numbers.
