at first, sorry for my terrible english.
I am a not really young guy from Germany and after driving only BMW for several years, its time to try a new kind of car. So I make a gift to myself and buy a 2006 C6 convertible.
The car is a US import with only 34.000 km.
On my first drive from Berlin to Bavaria I recognized a little problem.
The roof of the convertible have a little problem with german Autobahn speed. At 230+ km/h the backside of the roof was lifted up and fresh air cooled down my neck.
Hope I found a solution in this forum or someone tell me that this is a Corvette feature.....
Welcome to the forum.
This reminds me of my first experience on the Autobahn in Bavaria with a rented Audi TT that whistled like crazy once you drove it at any speed above 200kph.
I hope that you get it fixed, because that must be very annoying.
Mainly, that is a convertible feature. You move fast = pressure around the car is "lower" (faster moving air = lower pressure), so your car convertible top will expand and gaps will open. The only way around it is to crack open the windows slightly to allow the inside/outside air to equalize.
I asked the same question in the german Corvette Forum, but only a few C6 convertibles roll on german streets. The C6 is here a realy exotic car.
The most drivers have the same problem at higher speed, but a few drivers claim their top keep tight at every speed.
No one can answer my question if there is a possibility to re-tighten the roof and bring more pressure to the rear part of the roof.

The convertible top tension cables could need a replacement to keep the top material more taut to the bows.
Send me your e-mail address in a PM, and I can send you the Convertible Top Service manual section which shows how to replace the tensioning cables.
