You replace the eccentric lower bolts with fixed bolts and blocks and the put studs on the uppers and use old style shims. Sounds counter to what you need, but you pick up adjustment doing it. Several options out there.
I am preparing my '08 Z06 for Autocross.
I have replaced the shocks, front sway bar,
and am going to run Hoosier A7 tires, in Class SSR.
I did an alignment, but I couldn't get as much front Camber in as I want.
I could only get -2.0 on each side.
So, could I remove 1 or 2 washers from the upper A-arms, to
allow for more Camber ? (There are 4 on each bolt).
Has anyone done this ?
Any problems with doing it ?
Thanks
Yes you can. Your alignment shop should have done that. You can't just pull out washers without a realignment though. I try to run my eccentric all the way out and then adjust with washers to get very close. Then adjust the eccentric to dial in. That way I get the widest track possible. Plus I run 3/8" wheel spacers for just that little extra.
You can also use the washers to adjust for max caster. Use more washers in the front of the upper a arm and only one in the rear of the upper a arm.
