Bumping up your compression with a thinner head gasket (.030) and E85 will get you there. Cutouts might net you 5-8 ponies and a EW pump will be around 10 ponies. Bumping up your compression will net you over 20 rwhp with a .030 head gasket depending on your PTV clearance, if your heads are stock/not milled.

I though Katech had dynoed the electric water pumps and found them to gain essentially no hp gain? Anyone know the entire story?

The radius bars are going to give you between 10-18 rwhp depending on the rest of your mods.

I gained @7rwhp (peak) with an EWP when I was H/C LS2. I know because I pulled the EWP a few months after and lost this power. The pump had shorted and left me stranded so I went back to mechanical.

Uhhhh.......no such thing.

On the other hand, there are a lot of head gasket brands that do .030" gaskets.

BTW, seeing that with the stock LS3 the piston comes about .005" above the engine deck at top dead center, an .040" head gasket (.035" quench) would be a much better idea for a street driven car; .025" of quench is bit 'lean'......

Funny I had one of those expensive beautiful ewp in my 06 gto and had circulation problems with it though I figure out the problem and fix it I just couldn't get rid of it fast enough, I believe the horse power loss is actually a positive security/reliability trade-off, hard to depart from old faithful.
