... at some point in the last month or so, my wife's daily driver (a 2012 narrowbody coupe) suffered a decapitation of the front driver's side air dam, along with some minor damage to what I think is the bumper/fascia energy absorber that is located right behind it.
Our early inclination is to replace all three air dam components (they seem to be "wear parts" on late model Corvettes). I have a four post lift available, so access shouldn't be a problem.
Well, I got it up on the lift and it's worse than I thought.
At very least, I need a new energy absorber and (I believe) a new left front fender liner—I think the fender liner is what the furthest self-tapping screw to the rear used to attach to (that piece is gone). I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to remove the front fascia.
Is this still something I can do myself? I have the FSM.
