Default three piece front spolier

took a look at my front spoiler today on my 08 and it is banged up pretty good. time to replace it. can someone steer me in the right direction to get a replacement? money is tight so i was trying to avoid dealer pricing if possible. looking for oem replacement or aftermarket that is a perfect fit. plan on changing it myself and i have limited tools and talent!

I'll bet you can find one on eBay.

Or just leave it as is. If money is tight I wouldn't touch it. I haven't had one on my car for years. Took all 3 pieces off.

really! i thought it was needed to funnel air to the radiator. i guess you have never had an overheating issue. actually, i decided the center piece was still in good shape so i just went with the two side pieces.

Not needed on a c6. On a c5 since they are bottom feeders. Its just a few bolts, takes <10 minutes. If you took it off and had overheating issues, could always throw one back on. I haven't had one forever, and live in Phoenix, with an iron block, blower 1200+rwhp car, and no overheating issues, so I can't see a stock car needing one.

I think the corner pieces create a low psi area allowing air into the brake cooling duct if you care about that. Anyway mine are beat up and all I have seen are reproduced ones that are more ridged than stock so not sure they are worth the cost. I don't think GM makes them any longer, good used is probably your best bet.

i too had heard they didn't make them anymore but i picked them up at the dealer today. ridiculous price but i didn't want the rigid plastic aftermarket ones. i bought them at dealer price because i decided not to replace the center piece as it looked fine. well, almost fine. because of continued scraping over the years, the holes on either side of the center piece have broken where the holes meet the edge of the center piece. so i can't connect the side pieces to the center piece. probably don't even need to. but i know it will bug me so i have to find a way to connect them.

Pop rivets. Paint them black if that bugs you too.

i checked all the online sites and by the time you add shipping, cost was almost the same as local dealer. checked the reviews of after market parts and many said the part was made from thin, hard plastic with no flexibility. hit them once or twice and they would be ruined. that's why i decide to stay with the more flexible urethane gm parts. more cost effective in the long run. that was my thinking.
