I am thinking about changing to a Z06 exhaust to get ready for a supercharger. I can't do headers due to being in California, I want something that will pass emissions including a visual inspection.
I am not near my car, but am wondering if my 2005 has 2 or 4 converters in the exhaust. I think the Z06 exhaust has only 2 in the down pipes before the mid pipe. I think the 2005 has converters in the down pipe, and 2 in the mid pipe, but am not sure.
I'm thinking going to a Z06 exhaust will eliminate 2 converters and I'd have to bypass the back ones, which will be a red flag on inspection.
Anyone have an idea if I'm right or wrong on this one?

In 2012, Corvette went with 4 cats. Get a pre 2012 full Z06 exhaust and you will be fine. If your car is a manual, swapping a Z06 exhaust will be a complete bolt on. Don't forget two 02 extensions to make life easier.
The only other 4 cat system would be on a 2008-09 that had the cat emissions recall done.
