Has anybody run in the 10's on 19" Drag Radials? If so, was your car auto or manual? If auto, did you have a stall converter? What brand of drag radial? What air pressure did you use? And what is/was your combo? The reason I'm asking is my combo is Novi 1200/cam/meth/auto with converter and 652 hp. I'm getting guidance that says I'm wasting money trying to run 19"ers and should look into a 17" drag radial. Car has run 11.10 at 137.5 mph with a best 60' of 1.96. Been putting 24-26psi in the tires. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
My friends 450 RWHP GS has run a pile of 10.80s and 90s on Nittos on the stock GS wheels. I can double check but im pretty sure he runs them at 18 pounds at the track.
He has a Yank 3600 single disc in it also.
Just to let you know what you're missing , 394rwhp LS3 A6 bolton w/conv and 275/40x17 Hoosiers running 10.8x - 11.0x at 124-126 mph with 1.4x 60' times. I've had 1.7x 60' on 19" Invos.
Drop your pressure to 18-20psi and don't stab the go pedal. Just roll into it braking from 12-1400 rpm for the launch. You have more than enough power for 10's, but 17's will get you deeper 10's.

When I frist got my 2008 LS3 A6 corvette with 2.56 rear gears. I put a K&N cold air intake, Kooks stepped headers, magnaFlow mufflers, Mickey Thompson 19" drag radials with 17-18psi, and a Zex plate kit with a 175 shot. (10.81 easy!)

I haven't been able to do squat with the 19" NT05R's. Can't get below 2.0 in the 60', and fishtails through half of 2nd......18lbs of air.
Of course, my once a year at the drags might have a little to do with it, but my best time was with traction control on.
Here's my best time slip (1000 ft.):
2.12.....60ft
5.39.....330ft
7.38.....1/8
100.87..1/8
9.82......1000'
118.95..1000'
Obviously, my 60' is killing my ET.....Speed is good, tho

Too much power with too little practice will cause those problems. Sometimes it's the track and sometimes it's the driver. Once you have learned how the track is treating you, then you can push it's limits. Occasionally the track just won't hold a lot of power and you can't beat yourself up over that.
When I first got my Vette, it took more than a dozen passes over 3 weeks to run quicker than a 2.0. However, with the wife's V6 4,000# bone stock Caddy, I cut 2.1x times all day the first time out.
You should be in the 10's by accident even on 19s with that power. Take a step back and start driving the car out, a soft launch even letting it bog will prove to be a better run...I too at one point broke alot of parts before I learn to drive!!!!

820 hp here on 20' drag radials. the best i did was 11.2 with 1.989 60ft @128. then again my blower stops making power at 6300 rpm and i was shifting at 6800 for some dumb reason.
