Stock Shifter shifting Issues after replacing
Any thoughts on what the issue could be? I think I may need to adjust the linkage rod alignment???
All help appreciated!
i wouldnt go and do a realingment. what you did wrong was abandon the superior shifter. the stock corvette shifter is an area where funds were most likely saved to put a few more pennies in the pockets of the devils that run general motors. rule number one when you purchase a vette is to take the stock stick and chuck it. always go for an mgw shifter i can not stress this fact enough. the stock shifter on my friends rental c6 (yellow.. beautiful car he wound up taking out the engine and doing 5 years for grand larceny.. tried to claim insurance the local cops kicked his face in and booked him. i knew the guy from high school go figure.) was so bad that he was literally attempting to get MGW to overnight a gripper to him so he can at least enjoy the car before he filed the claim for the engine. these are his words. havent spoke to him since he started his bid but rest assured he couldn't stand the stock shifter on this rental c6. go ahead and if it aint broke dont fix it just throw the gripper back on and throw the stock shifter in the garbage where it belongs.
