My completely stock 2016 z06 often times blips the throttle between 1st and 2nd upshifts. This only happens when rev match is on and also does not have a pattern or RPM range. It does it randomly. Also there seems to be a pretty serious rev hanging going on. Its been to the dealer several times and even a "special" corvette engineer with no success at all.
Well this is the C6 tech section. But I have both a C6Z and C7Z and use rev match. It can and will do it on both upshift and downshift. From the manual in your glovebox:
"Active Rev Match
Vehicles equipped with a manual
transmission have Active Rev Match
(ARM). ARM aids in smoother
shifting by matching the engine
speed to the next selected gear. By
monitoring shift lever and clutch
operation, ARM adjusts engine
speed to match a calibrated value
based on gear selection. On
upshifts and downshifts, engine
speed will be increased and
decreased to match vehicle road
speed and transmission gear
position. ARM is maintained for a
few seconds between shifts, then
deactivates if the shift is not
completed."
