Need help on options for replacing 2005 differential
Hello,
I'm completely confused on what options I have to replace my 2005 differential. I recently blew the transmission and would like to upgrade the differential at the same time I do the transmission. I am runing a Vortech supercharger with headers on an otherwise stock LS2. The car has about 72K miles. I've read multiple threads but cannot understand exactly what is needed to move to a 2006 and over differential or down to a C5 unit. If anyone has any links to the processes associated it would be greatly appreciated.

You will need a 06-07 transmission tail housing to connect your current transmission to an 06 plus diff. As far as a C5 diff, you will need a custom mount for the C5 diff to connect to your C6 cradle. Meaning your existing transmission tail housing will connect to the C5 diff but the diff will not fit your C6 cradle. Make sense?
Thanks for response, yes it does make sense. Do you know if there are specs anywhere for the bracket for the C5? Also are there any other gotcha's fo using 2006 plus differential? I was looking at one on ebay and contacted RPM but they told me it would not work because it was from a 2006 automatic and didn't have speed sensor?
I have a manual trans 2005... I swapped by broken rear diff out for a zip performance stage 3 with quaiffe 2006+ with adaptor... Swapped broken t56 trans out for a RPM stage 6 with z06 output shaft and had rear diff pinion re-machined to accept z06 output shaft...
Both companies told me they could handle 750hp... Last dyno with the vortech was 722rwhp/654rwtq... so far so good, ha

I don't have the specs on the C5 diff bracket but I do own one. Let dig around and I'll post a picture of it when I find it.
I got my bracket from "stanger383" here on the forum. It was easy to install but did require some grinding on the ribs on the underside of the diff to clear the leaf spring. My car is a 2005 manual Z51 so I'm not sure if there are any differences with your automatic car.

seeing that the transmission needs rebuild buy one from RPM with 30 spline output shaft and adapter plate to bolt to stock Z06 transmission.this is what I run in mine at 650rwhp
