Default First timer. 2005 borla on 2011?

Hi I have a 2011 GS with stock exhaust non npp. So I found a used borla off a 2005 c6 for a decent price. I have the deal set up to be done on the 1st. I sent borla a message and they replied "Thank you for your interest in our exhaust! Unfortunately the exhaust for a 2005 Corvette will not fit on the 2011 C6. While the cars are nearly the same, there was a change in the exhaust between 2008 and 2009. The mid-pipes are bent differently and will not fit." I really just want to know how much of a difference there really is. Thanks guys. This is my first corvette.

The exit on the passenger side of the x-pipe is quite different.

The 09 and up bend towards the rear of the car, while the 05-08 do not.
