Back on January I was doing a track time with my 2005 C6 SC, I noticed the temperatures raising more than usual, after that, I started making some research on that, I ended up purchasing a Dewitt radiator with the fan kit. I was on another track time yesterday, now with the Dewitt radiator and fan kit installed, temperatures went up again, it took longer but went up to 240's again. Any ideas on anything else that I can do for lowering that temperature, thermostat already replaced when the SC was installed. Need some input on this.
In my opinion, every car used on the track should have an oil cooler. Especially with a sc. A factory Z06 set up will cool the oil fine. It's a air to oil cooler. Dot run a cooler that's built Into the radiator. Although they work well. They put extra duty on the engine coolant. What are your oil temps. If you run hard, I bet they are very near 300 without a cooler. You can get a cooler bigg er than the factory Z cool er for better results
