Alright guys I'm just curious do I have have something wrong. I have an 08 ls3 car with G6X3 cam, BTR ".660 " valve spring hardened pushrods, 390 geared,1 7/8" longtubes 2.5" x pipe to stock mufflers (B&B exhaust system) and varram CAI. I only made 472 at the wheels. Is there something wrong? I see alot of guys making close to 500whp if not more with stock heads. Discuss thanks!
I have a 08 with the G6X3 cam 17/8 long tubes UD CAI A6 with 3200 stall with those mods made 487rwhp. But the dyno is for tuning. Car baseline dyno stock was 373rwhp added 17/8 headers gained 33 rwhp. Added the G6X3 cam, UD, 3200 stall gained 67rwhp. Add the 100rwhp to stock 373 baseline and now at 473rwhp. Why different dyno. One dyno at 487 the other 473 the total gain in rwhp for the mods was 100. Car with full weight and 100 rwhp gain did 10.9 in the 1/4 Hope this helps so 472 looks to be right in the ball park. The question is what was the gain in rwhp from your baseline. That will tell you more about the mods you made.

I guess that makes since. I know dynos don't mean everything it's just nice to see higher numbers. Same as yours though it was 373 baseline.

Dyno numbers can be deceiving and comparing your numbers to others can often be discouraging but remember dyno numbers can vary on the weather conditions and by the altitude in the area you live plus numbers can be altered to a degree by the tuner so best bet is to take a couple of passes then compare times.

I guess that's gonna be the best way. Thanks for the info.
